Local shifting is a move within Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, from one flat, house or office to another in the same city. It might be Wakad to Baner, Kothrud to Bavdhan or a few streets inside Moshi. We pack, load, move and unload on the same day in most cases, with the same team doing every part of the job.
Most local moves we do are families moving to a bigger or cheaper flat, tenants whose agreement is ending, owners getting the keys to a new flat in Moshi, Ravet or Wagholi, and people moving closer to a new office in Hinjewadi or Kharadi. We also do a lot of small jobs, like a student shifting a PG room or someone moving to the next building.

How we do it
- Price first. You send photos or a video, and we tell you the vehicle size, the team size and the price in writing.
- Morning start. The team usually arrives in the morning with cartons, bubble wrap and stretch film, so the move finishes before evening.
- Pack and load. Fragile things are packed first, then the rest of the rooms. Furniture is wrapped and the truck is loaded with heavy items at the bottom.
- Short drive. Across town the drive is usually under two hours, and we keep you updated on the way.
- Set up. At the new place we unload, put furniture where you want it and fit the beds and wardrobes back together.
Looking after your things
A short distance does not mean less care. Most damage in a local move happens when people skip packing because "it is only 5 km". We still wrap the TV, put the fridge upright, cover the mattress and pad the furniture, because the stairs, the lift and the loading are the same as in a long move.
What it costs
We give every customer a written price before we start. It mostly depends on a few things: size of the home, floors and lift, packing and day of the move. A 1 BHK needs a small tempo and three people, while a 3 BHK needs a bigger truck and a larger team. No lift on the fourth floor means more people and more time. If you pack clothes and small things yourself, the price comes down. Month-end weekends are the busiest, so booking early helps. Send us photos or a short video and you will usually have a price within 15 minutes during working hours.
A few tips
- Book the lift at both societies a day before.
- Keep a bag with the things you need on the first night.
- Pack jewellery and documents yourself and keep them with you.
