Tathawade lies between Wakad and Punawale, right next to the Mumbai–Bangalore Highway. Colleges, new societies and quick access to Hinjewadi have made it one of the busiest rental areas in PCMC.

What shifting in Tathawade is like
Most homes here are new high-rise societies, student flats and PG rooms. Places like Mumbai–Bangalore Highway service road, Tathawade Chowk, Wakad side, Punawale side and Tathawade college area are part of our regular work, so the team is not finding its way on your moving day.
Many moves in Tathawade are from flats on high floors. We book the service lift with the society in advance and use corner guards and floor sheets so the lift and lobby are not damaged.
Short moves go to Wakad, Punawale, Hinjewadi and Ravet, and many are from one rented flat to another. A move like that is normally packed, moved and set up in one day. If you only have a fridge, a bed and a few cartons, ask for few item shifting. We send a smaller tempo and you pay for that, not for a whole truck.
A typical moving day
Say you are shifting a 2 BHK from near Mumbai–Bangalore Highway service road to Punawale. Our team of four reaches around 9 in the morning with cartons, bubble wrap and tape. The kitchen and the fragile things are packed first, then the bedrooms, then the living room, and every box gets the room name written on it. Beds and wardrobes are taken apart and the screws go into small labelled bags. By early afternoon the truck is loaded, heavy things at the bottom and fragile boxes on top. At the new place the same people unload, carry each box to its room, fit the furniture back together and take the empty cartons away. Most days like this are over by evening, and you sleep in your own bed in the new home that night.
Leaving Tathawade for a job in another city
A lot of our work in Tathawade starts with a new offer letter. Someone has two or three weeks to join in Bangalore or Hyderabad, the flat has to be handed back, and there is a car or a bike to think about as well. We usually pack the flat over a weekend, send the household goods by truck, and put the car or bike on the same schedule. Some people first send a few bags with our luggage service and move the rest once they have found a place in the new city.

What it costs
There is no single rate, because no two moves are the same. Taking one room from Tathawade to Punawale is a few hours of work. A fully furnished 3 BHK on a high floor going to another state is a different job altogether.
