Alandi is the temple town on the Indrayani river, known across Maharashtra for the samadhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar. Beyond the old town, new housing has spread along the roads to Moshi, Charholi and Dighi.
Here we move local families, teachers and staff of the many institutions in town, and people who work in Chakan, Bhosari or Moshi and chose Alandi for the lower rent. Our office is in Moshi, inside PCMC, so Alandi is part of the area our team covers every day.
What shifting in Alandi is like
Most homes here are old homes and dharamshalas near the temple, and new apartment buildings on the outer roads. We are often around Sant Dnyaneshwar Samadhi temple area, Indrayani Ghat, Alandi–Moshi Road, Alandi–Dighi Road and Alandi bus stand, which helps a lot on moving day: we already know the roads, the parking and the usual society rules.
On Ekadashi days, and above all during the Kartiki yatra and the Palkhi, the roads into Alandi fill with pilgrims and are closed to trucks. We check the calendar with you and avoid those dates.
Short moves go to Moshi, Charholi, Dighi and Chakan, and a lot of them are two or three rooms. A move like that is normally packed, moved and set up in one day. If you only have a fridge, a bed and a few cartons, ask for few item shifting. We send a smaller tempo and you pay for that, not for a whole truck.
A typical moving day
Say you are shifting a 2 BHK from near Sant Dnyaneshwar Samadhi temple area to Charholi. Our team of four reaches around 9 in the morning with cartons, bubble wrap and tape. The kitchen and the fragile things are packed first, then the bedrooms, then the living room, and every box gets the room name written on it. Beds and wardrobes are taken apart and the screws go into small labelled bags. By early afternoon the truck is loaded, heavy things at the bottom and fragile boxes on top. At the new place the same people unload, carry each box to its room, fit the furniture back together and take the empty cartons away. Most days like this are over by evening, and you sleep in your own bed in the new home that night.
From Alandi to another city
When people from Alandi move out of Pune, the cities we hear most often are Mumbai, Bangalore, Nagpur and Delhi. We pick up from your door here and deliver to your new home, with extra packing for the long road and a message on WhatsApp when the truck leaves and when it reaches. The other way round works too: if you are moving into Alandi from another city, we can bring your goods here or just do the unloading and setting up.
What it costs
There is no single rate, because no two moves are the same. Taking one room from Alandi to Charholi is a few hours of work. A fully furnished 3 BHK on a high floor going to another state is a different job altogether. What matters most is how much you have, which floor you are on and whether there is a lift, and how far it is going.
