Rajgurunagar, the headquarters of Khed taluka, is a town on the Pune–Nashik Highway about 40 km from Pune, named after the freedom fighter Shivram Rajguru, who was born here. Its closeness to Chakan MIDC has brought many working families to the town.
Most calls from Rajgurunagar come from people working in Chakan and the nearby industrial units, and from families sending a son or daughter to Pune for a job or college.
